WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR PLAYERS?
It means so many cool things:
Lower Avg. Hotel Rates: $69 Sun-Thur and $120 Fri/Sat. If you are staying 5 nights, you will save $125 on the total hotel cost.
Lower Resort Fees: Planet Hollywood was charging an insane $30/night where The Orleans is only $17.
Affordable Food & Drink: A complete food court, TGIFridays and many other dining and drinking options that are significantly lower priced than Planet Hollywood.
More Affordable Gambling: The Orleans is a locals casino which means more affordable gambling levels when you are at the tables.
Friday Night Rooms: PH was charging us $250 for Friday night while The ORLEANS is half that price!

If you BOOKED A HOTEL ROOM
Cancel Immediately by calling (702) 785-5555 (be sure to tell them you will never stay at a Caesar’s property again)
If you WON A HOTEL ROOM at Regionals

WHAT IF I STILL WANT TO STAY AT PLANET HOLLYWOOD?
You certainly can and Uber is only about a $7-$8 trip from PH to The Orleans. They have told us they will honor the room rates but I have trouble believing them…so I would call to confirm.
WHAT ABOUT THE MOONSHINERS CARDS?
Yes, we will be doing the moonshiners cards at The Orleans just as we were doing at Planet Hollywood.
For years we have put up with the headaches of Caesar’s Properties (i.e. Harrah’s, Showboat, Bally’s, Planet Hollywood). Quite frankly, they have treated us horribly.
This is nothing you would have ever seen because we never wanted our players to be effected by it, our #1 Priority is providing you an INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE.
Well, this time they outdid themselves.
About 3 weeks ago we got a call claiming there were issues with our event. They then went on a “witch hunt” asking us dozens of very specific questions about our event and our company. They required documentation they thought we wouldn’t be able to get (though we did).
Well approximately 10 days ago they called and said “We are sorry, but we are not comfortable holding your event and we are cancelling it”. YES, within 60 days of the event.
When I asked them if they were willing to compensate the players who already paid for flights, etc for the event….they simply said “that is not our responsibility”. In other words, they couldn’t care less.
And they wonder why they are in Bankruptcy and have more than $18 BILLION in debt!
So for those of you who wonder why we won’t go back to Harrah’s or Bally’s in AC, now you know the reason.
The GREAT NEWS is that we have worked with The Orleans before and absolutely loved them. But unfortunately they no longer had cameras in their ballroom which was the reason we couldn’t go back.
But they have now installed more cameras to accommodate us and they are VERY EXCITED to host The Biggest Poker Party of the Year!
A big shout out goes to our team here in the office who has been working almost around the clock to make sure we could secure another venue in such short of time.
In closing, I am a big believer in FATE! And am 100% convinced that this will end up being the BEST EVENT WE HAVE EVER HOSTED!!!!!
