National TOC - THE MAIN EVENT!
Playing in the Main Event is the dream of every poker player. The chance to be on TV, to prove your poker skills, and to take home millions of dollars - who wouldn't want that opportunity?
Well, World Tavern Poker gives two players the chance to fulfill that dream every single year through the National Tournament of Champions.
Two levels are offered at each National TOC, and you can qualify for these events directly from your local bar!
NATIONAL TOC - SEMI FINALS
This is a shootout style format where the top 2 players from each table advance to the Finals.
NATIONAL TOC - FINALS
The National TOC Finals is a multi-table tournament where you will be competing against hundreds of players from around the country with the Top 8 players receiving BIG prizes!
How to Qualify
To qualify for the National TOC SEMIFINALS:
-- Win one tournament on Mid Season TOC night
-- Finish 2nd or 3rd in a Tavern TOC
To qualify for the National TOC FINALS:
-- Mid Season TOC Champion (most combined pts)
-- Win a Tavern TOC
-- Win 15 games overall in a regular season
REMEMBER! The more you finish in the Top 3 during regular season tournaments, the larger your chip stack will be at the Tavern TOC - that can give you a huge advantage over your competitors!

The next National TOC events will take place at the WTP OPEN at The Orleans Casino in Las Vegas in 2024. Details will be posted on the OPEN website:

Frequently Asked Questions

If I can’t make it to Vegas, can I carry over my qualifications?
Unfortunately not! All qualifications from the previous two seasons MUST be used at the OPEN or they are gone.

I qualified during Season 1 2024 but cannot make it to Vegas. Can I carry that over to the next event?
No. Other than the unique situation the pandemic brought from 2020-2022, National Championship Event Qualifications cannot be carried over.
The Prizes
Please note: All packages won at the 2024 OPEN are redeemable starting in 2025.

The National TOC Finals will see 8 players receiving awesome packages to major events, with the last person standing earning a $10,000 Major Event package!

1st Place = $10,000 Major Event Package
2nd Place = $2,000 Major Event package
3rd Place = $1,250 Major Event package
4th Place = $1,000 Major Event package
5th Place = $750 Major Event package
6th thru 8th Place = $500 Major Event package
