May 17th, 1:30am: All is quiet. The signage is out in full force. The poker room sits quiet, waiting for the hundreds of World Tavern Poker players that are about to take Mohegan Sun by storm.
It takes a Team, and they got things done. What was once just a poker room is now home to the OPEN.
The team gathered later in the day for dinner, but the work was still not done.
Others arrived afterwards, ready to assist. Several hung out in the Suite, working on the parties and planning.
But the planning is now complete. Players will start to arrive in just a few hours. Registration begins at 9:00am, with Ticket pickup, Championship registration, the Store, and much more on the way.
